When I got home after the kickoff celebration I read this life-changing book cover-to-cover while deeply reflecting on each part. I Love Him Lord,^® but He’s Not a Christian really allowed me to face my relationship head on. I said to myself "why am I breaking my back trying to change this man" and "why am I giving so much of myself when I really should be giving my time, energy and heart further to God." I was unequally yoked and the resulting stress was a distraction from the important things in life. I realized that in my efforts to change him, I was changing myself. After completing the book I had an entire new outlook and I was prepared to continue my walk with Christ without this man, maintaining my trust in Christ that He will establish a healthy relationship with a man with whom I am equally yoked.
